Barren

It’s a wasteland,
All is barren,
When I left to pursue,
Look at me my love,
See my state when I am deprived of you

I cracked open the moon and the sky,
Unable to bid you goodbye,
I broke apart the stars for you,
Please let me see your face,
Once is all I need,
From my mind it shall never erase

For but the sound of your footsteps,
I endured the silence of stone,
But all I got was disgrace,
For I was alone

How many times must I call out to you,
Before you grace me with your presence,
Even your shadow will do,
At least I’ll have your essence

When I found your footprints,
I worshiped the spot,
To make sure you received my prayer,
I bowed down a hundred times,
Asking forgiveness for my crimes

Don’t make my efforts worthless,
I gave up everything just to find you,
I need to be with you,
Don’t act like you don’t know it too.
