If Tomorrow Never Comes
Ever changing,
The faces of life,
Ever re-arranging,
Eternal darkness,
Contrasting with eternal light,
And then there’s me,
Who lives in a constant shade of grey,
Betwixed and between
Only wishing for it all to go away,
It’s like life has left me behind,
I'm grasping at straws,
Hoping for redemption,
But peace I shall never find
The truth is that I have been crushed,
My heart shattered,
My hopes turned into dust,
But that got me thinking,
Why should I let this wither me away?
Why don’t I creep out of my shady hole
To see the light of day?
If tomorrow never comes,
Then where will I be?
Nothing but a worthless being,
The world shall see
So out I go,
Out of my shell,
Enjoying life,
Hoping that all is well,
For if tomorrow never comes,
Where will I be?
If I stay in my pitt,
Then nothing but a heartless stone,
The world shall see
