The Vampire and His Love

He walks the darkened city streets
Lurking in the shadows
He drinks the blood of all he meets
Seeming stoney and cold
Except to her and her alone
They can peer into each other's soul
The vampire and his love

He takes her dancing
Beneath the moon
Near his castle by the lake
And he whispers words of love to her
Saying they'll be together forever soon
The vampire and his love

Then he sinks his teeth
Into her lovely neck
Making a cut across his chest
As she licks and drinks his wine-red fluid
More potent than all the rest
And they make love
Under the blanket of the starry sky
The vampire and his love

By morning both were sound asleep
Shaded from the light
As she glowed pale like the moon
A newborn child of the night
And now they're together for always
The vampire and his love
